Christian Dior 2012 Limited Edition Medium Lady Dior Purple & Gold Tweed Bag
The original Lady Dior bag was produced in 1994 in microfiber and was named the Chouchou — a French idiom describing the best in class or the teacher’s pet. It was renamed the lady Dior almost a year after its creation when Princess Dianna was shown carrying it on the cover of a London newspaper. Since then the design has remained synonymous with the house of Dior and continues to be embellished, coloured and reinterpreted in new ways each season.
From the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection this extraordinary bag is as rare as it is beautiful. This bag showcases the brand's dedication to fine craftsmanship, taking eight hours to make and the skill of seven artisans. We love how the purple, pink, turquoise, khaki and gold tweed fabric detailing on this bag draws attention to the patchwork quilting. Finished with gold hardware this bag celebrates a ladylike, iconic collection.
