Hermes Crocus (Purple) Epsom Leather Collier De Chien CDC Cuff Bracelet with Palladium Hardware
A customer’s flight of fancy sometimes results in a piece that becomes essential to the Hermès collections. In 1927, a daring customer looking for a belt to accessorise her outfits was especially drawn to an Hermes dog collar. The request inspired the house to create a belt decorated with four-faceted Médor studs and adorned with a ring. The purity of the belt’s lines and volumes eventually led to the creation of the iconic Collier de Chien bracelet.
This rare purple version is crafted from the very rare and collectable Hermès’ Crocus. This seasonal purple hue was inspired by the purple Iris flower, Crocus. Its stigma is renowned the world over for its stigma which produces one of the most expensive spices in the world, saffron. Crafted in one of the most sought after leather types, Epsom leather. This leather takes its name from a town in south-east England that is famous for its horse races. Its fine, regular grain, obtained through machine-printing, has a striking, beautifully subtle dual tone. One of the most favoured leather types from Hermes, epsom leather is sought after as it keeps its shape over time and resistant to most scratches. An iconic piece by Hermes that will stand the test of time. This timeless accessory makes a statement on its own or stacked with your other faves. A treasure for the most devoted Hermes collector.
